Hi all,
What is the best way to fire a flute that is 20" long??
Is it possible to fire this using porcelain rather than ceramic?
I thought of possibly using some kind of support through the middle and
stand it up.

I fired a number of 24inch long rods for a stress testing group and
found that the best way was to stand them on end. For the occasional
small (12) batch I supported them all round with firebricks. Never had
one bend in the firing.
