Hi Elca,
I'm living near the border to France and can give you one tip. Go to
Soufflenheim, it is a small village near Strassbourg, at the river
rhine. The whole village is a pottery village. They do traditional
pottery, painting with engobe with this little rubber ball with a glass
tube ( don't know the english expression, can't find it in dictionary).
Anyway, it is very nice and you find it only in Alsace. And people are
very friendly there. At least each second house is a potter's house,
very interesting.
By the way, going to France, don't forget about their red wine.
