On Saturday, April 15, 2000, the Ceramics Program at Harvard hosts
english potter, Phil Rogers. During this one day workshop, Phil Rogers
will demonstrate and discuss his functional, wheel-thrown pottery.
Rogers has a studio in Wales and is currently writing a book on salt
glazing. He has published two other books entitled, Ash
Glazes
and Throwing Pots. His work
has been shown internationally and can be seen in numerous public
collections including the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.


The ceramic studio is located at 219 Western Avenue in Boston,
Massachusetts. The workshop is free to those enrolled in the Ceramics
Program and $50 for all other non-Harvard students.

Get in on this if you're at all interested in jugs (pitchers) done in the
traditional English style; I just took his jug workshop in Frederick, MD and
he was a very good demonstrator and teacher.
