Dear List:

I've used a plaster wedging table for 17 years. I built a table with 2
x 4s framing in the top and poured the plaster in the top and leveled it
off. After it was completely dry I covered it with pillow ticking and
stapled the ticking onto the sides being sure to stretch tightly. My
cutting wire is screwed into one side of one of the 2 x 4's and then
anchored to the wall. I have had to replace the pillow ticking twice in
these years. The pillow ticking keeps any plaster from getting into the
clay.

Good luck,
