^6 porcelain bloating - update

------------------
I wrote to the list a short while back about some truly horrific
bloating in my =5E6 grolleg porcelain.

By and large, the advice I received was to bisque to a higher temp. I
had been bisquing at =5E06.

The fab folks at Kickwheel pottery (who's porcelain I had been using)
faxed me their recommended firing schedule for both bisquing and glaze
firing. It was a bit slower than mine. And it was to =5E04.

So I unloaded a glaze yesterday and, lo and behold, no bloating=21 Not
even a little hint of it=21 And to top it off, I had very little
warping. One very thin bowl in the hottest part of the kiln warped a
tad, but that was it.

So again, thanks to everyone on the list for such great advice and
support.

Now if someone can only help me with glaze application - my pouring
sucks.... =3B-)
