Dear NCECA going Clayart,
I put a newly updated and expanded list of available lodging on the
website today.
Also I put up a page of pieces (Incomplete) that will be available at
the auction.
All linked form the NCECA Homepage.

See you at the conference.

I just called the Hilton and got a room for $129 per night for the 13th
and 14th and $109 per night for the 15-16th with a AAA discount. I just
asked for regular reservations with AAA. So there are rooms available
and at pretty reasonable rates if you have some kind of discount. These
prices are actually lower than the quoted price of $120 on the NCECA
site unless I'm reading it wrong.

Hi Patricia,

When I first read your email I was all bummed thinking I could've gotten my
rooms much cheaper... until I did the math.

I just made reservations at the Westin Crown Center this morning at the NCECA
rates of $120/night (13th - 17th)... didn't even think to ask about using my
AAA membership.

Although, after doing the math... looks like for a stay from Wed. - Sat.
night... you'd only save an average of $1.00 each night (total of $4.00
savings) by using AAA instead of NCECA discount. Now I don't feel so bad.

But hey... you were right... it IS cheaper.

Best Wishes,

Ken

Thanks to the recommendations of this list regarding the thread a few months
ago about "long distance movers"... I am reviewing moving estimates from
Mayflower and a few other moving companies (will decide which one on Monday).
Trying to shoot for arriving in our new home in Port Washington just days
before Christmas. The best news came today... we accepted an offer from
someone to buy our house here in Encino,CA... yay! (2 months 3 weeks on the
market - was starting to get worried!)

You can still get the AAA discount. Just show your
card when you show up to check in and ask for it.
Most hotels will give it to you.

Grumble and threaten to tell AAA if they give you
flack about it.

Mel had quoted $90/day rate for the rooms at Red Lion however, I just
called and found that the rate is $92.00/ night plus 4.5%tax plus $8/day
parking.

Just FYI for those of you trying to work the budget.
