handmade potters tools

To all, I've been told by some very nice people, who work in the
ceramic book title business, that the book " Handmade Potters Tools" is
out of print. My copy was ruined in a flooded basement. I don't have
the authors names but I remember it had a soft cover with a drawn
picture of a japanese noborigama kiln on the cover. Inside were
excellent examples of tools for throwing and decorating and each came
with both english and japanese translations. I would love to replace
this excellent book and I was hoping that someone out there knows of a
source for this book.
I hope all your days a filled with pots and smiles. Michael Porfido

Michael,
If you request this book on Amazon.com, they will activate a search of used
book stores and get you a price on it. If you like the price, you confirm
the order and it's on its way to you. I think the authors are Whitford and
Wong. Good luck, Rob

Barnes and Nobel has a similar search, with the available out of print books
shown immediately on the search with prices. They give condition and other
relevant information for each available. Others are http://www.addall.com
and http://www.bibliofind.com for out of print.

I just want to remind all the Clayart members attending NCECA in Denver that
we will be discussing and demonstrating a wide variety of handmade potter's
(and sculptor's) tools in the "Tool Doctors" presentation at 10:00 on Friday
morning. When you get your packet at the conference, check your NCECA
program for the location.
See you there -

This site will search many of the used book databases out
there, and you don't have to go through Amazon. It searches,
Abe, bibliofind, and about 6 or 7 others.
