Thanks for the suggestions on how to achieve the results I want. I will try
them. I do want to clear up something however. Ellen said she had lousy =
luck
testing the Duncan glazes. I, on the other hand had wonderful results, =
hence my
desire to reproduce those results. I brushed on (something I never thought =
I'd
do) 3 coats and fired to cone 5 oxidation. In fairness to Duncan I must say=
the
product was fine, just horridly expensive. It took 1/2 a bottle to glaze =
the
inside of a medium sized bowl. Yikes. The look of Denby Pottery is what =
I'm
trying to achieve with reds, blues and greens. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I should be
more original, creative and non exploitive of others work but I also have =
kids
to send through college. What's a mother to do? Most folks aren't as
adventuresome in their table ware as us arteests would like them to be, but,=
in
my book it beats them going to Wal-Mart.
