Amy,

Here's a glaze that I got off Clayart a while ago and really like. I think
Vince orginally sent it in.

Rice's Satin, cone 04 electric

Ferro Frit 3134 38
Lithium Carb. 10
Neph. Sy. 5
EPK 5
Flint 42

This is a satin glaze with a "fat" feel. I've only used "earthy" coloring
oxides with it but you could add a mason stain for a bright color. I either
spray or pour this glaze. My colors are:

Green - 2% chrome ox. and 2% copper Carb.
Turquoise - 4% copper carb.
Brown - 16% red iron oxide

I have used this glaze on two different low fire white clays, Miller 10G
which I bisqued to cone 1, and Aarvark MCWG which I bisque to cone 04. A
higher bisque does work with some earthenware clays but normally you don't
need to go higher that cone 04. If you go too high you loose porosity and so
have a hard time applying glaze.

Hope this helps,
