Elaine Coleman asked me if I would post this to the list:

"Private Session" at Coleman Clay Studio in Las Vegas
Nevada. May 1st
thru May 5th 2000. The session is open to intermediate and
advanced
potters. The sessions specialize in form, function,
porcelain, section
forms, non-functional pieces and glazes. Tom will work with
you on
anything that you and the group want to focus on. Time is
split between
group work and one-on-one time with each participant. If
desired, he
will also work on copper reds with you, but you will need to
bring some bisqued whiteware pieces (cone 10). Sessions run
daily from 9:00 AM to
4:00 PM with the studio open until 9:00P.M.
The weather is nice in Las Vegas at this time of year, With
Las Vegas's
24 hour reputation, there are a lot of entertainment options
available
both indoors and out. Come a couple of days early and
attend the Meira Mathison Raku Workshop scheduled for April
29th and 30th.
For more information call 702-564-4001 or fax 703-564-1137.
A
non-refundable $100.00 deposit is required to reserve your
place. The
total workshop fee is $375.00 (Meira Mathison workshop
additional)

Re Meira Mathison Workshop.. for those of you that don't know Meira or her
work I strongly suggest you do so. She is an excellent instructor and knows
her Raku subject inside out and backwards as well as being a fabulous
potter. Added bonus.. she is a Canadian!.. Meira is also the Administrator
of MISSA (Metchosin International Summer School of the Arts) Vancouver
Island, BC.
Last year I was in one of Coleman's Private Sessions......... F A B U L O U
