Hi Janet. Try bisking at a lower temperature. The clay gets tighter and less
absorbent the higher you go. I see this "flaw" where I teach, when stoneware
gets bisked along with the lo-fire kids stuff (^04). I usually bisk to cone
08. The work that is bisked higher does seem to be less absorbent and take
longer to dry.
