The job of managing the pottery studio for the Stonington, Conn., community
center is available.

It involves planning, scheduling and marketing classes, locating teachers,
and monitoring classes throughout what is generally a series of eight-week
sessions. Sometimes I teach, and am paid for that above and beyond my
monthly salary.

The studio manager also tests and makes glazes, does all the firing and
low-grade kiln repair (electric kiln, two years old), maintains inventories
and is responsible for keeping the studio neat and clean. He or she also
answers questions and works to solve any problems that may arise.

Expertise in all these areas is not necessary. I will teach you what I know,
and if you are interested enough, you will learn the rest.

The job pays $150 a month, and entitles you to use the studio whenever you
wish.

I will be leaving in March. Please email me ASAP if you are interested.
