Hello clayarters,

On March 4 Wasaburo will again present a workshop on his pottery making
techniques at Tacoma Community College.
The workshop is from 10 am until 4 pm in the pottery studio building 5
room 4. Last year the workshop was very well received.
The cost is $50.00. Space is limited to 40 and my students are already
starting to sign up so if you are interested contact me at: rmahaffe@tcc.tacoma
of call: 253-566-5260

Wasa will demonstrate throwing and trimming techniques that he uses in
his daily work in Japan.
Wasa was the personal apprentice of Shimizu Uichi (Living National
Treasure), and has been making pots since he was 13 years old. His
work is characterized by beautiful forms and complex glaze surfaces.
For a bit more information about Wasa check his web site at: www.geocities.com/

Perhaps some of the clayarters that attended last year's workshop would
care to comment about the worth of this man's workshop experience.

Wasa will attend Nceca , as well as, have an exhibition at NCECA at
Arapahoe Community College where you can get a first hand (eye?) look at
his work.

I don't think you will regret it if you decide to join us for this workshop.
