Get in touch with the Wood Turning Brigade. They use microwaves to rapid =
cure
turned green wood articles. Should be able to give details about time and =
energy
ratings. And they are very competitive towards ceramic stuff in the way they
market what they make.

Speaking as part ceramic stuff and part wood turner...

Ivor is right, but it's an arcane art. It only seems to work with very
thinly turned wood, and it needs a fair amount of experimentation to get the
right power/time for any given wood/shape/thickness/humidity level/etc. I
think bamboo might be troublesome, in that I suspect the hard, outer "skin"
might dry at a different rate to the pithy inside, and not being "real" wood
[non-technical term - any natural scientists out there please ignore...], it
may split.

I missed the first part of this post, I'm afraid (went to find some snow in
Austria ... Yippeee!) - if the original sender needs to dry a reasonable
quantity, please get in touch and I will copy details for a simple wood
drying kiln (funny thing, language).
