Hi Ann,

The staff and students at the School of Art, Otago Polytechnic in Dunedin,
New Zealand would make you most welcome. The school is the only educational
institution offering fulltime ceramic courses to Masters level.

Dunedin is a beautiful university town of around 100,000 (during the
academic year) and is the stepping off place for much of the best scenery in
the country. March is a great time to be here.

Look forward to seeing you.

Kind regards,

Lawrence Ewing

Will be visiting NZ from Nov. 2-13.  Will be in Queenstown, Nelson and Auckland areas.  Would like to visit potter's stores and studios. Does anyone out there have suggestions?

Thanks, Gail

Cheer a special someone with a fun Halloween eCard from American Greetings!

Go to http://www.nzpotters.com/
which is the web site of the New Zealand Society of Potters
There should be numerous links and contact details for individual
potters in the various centres.

Nelson will be very easy... they have maps to potter's studios, and I
guarantee you will not be able to see them all!

I don't remember seeing much clay work in Queenstown; it is a town
much like any U.S. ski resort town, like Aspen or Breckenridge. Just
plan on enjoying the beautiful scenery there, I think. And take a jet
boat ride -- it's fun!

Auckland has a lot of potters and galleries. You should be able to
find them. That may be about the time of the Auckland Potter's
Exhibition. I know it is in the fall. Check out the NZ potter's web
site http://www.nzpotters.com/ which should be helpful. I haven't
looked at that site in a while, and don't have time now, but it is a
good site.

Have a great trip! We love NZ, have been there twice, staying for six
months the last time.

Jean

The 12th Annual SFPN will be shown in it's entirety when the show opens
