Clayarters:

Can the list please help me with a castable refractory recipe? I have used =
one
composed of fireclay, grog, portland cement, alumina hydrate and sawdust =
before.
I am currently working with a former student on his wood kiln in which the
firebox will have a catenary arch made from a castable recfractory. Any
suggestions for recipes, materials, and proportions will be greatly =
appreciated.
TIA.

I've cast an entire naboragama woodfire kiln including the firebox and the cast
worked very well! Though I think the fire box was slightly small for two
chambers. Have you decided on a fire box design? email me directly and I'll gi
you my phone # and we can talk more.
