bowl of fire

Hi Fellow Clayarters!!

This is wishing each and every one a very happy and healthy New Year!
And to thank those of you who answered my questions (in Nov.) on and off
line concerning the large, large bowl I was asked to construct by my
pastor. It warmed my heart this morning to watch about 250 people share
in a symbolic expression of renewal during the first church service of
the millennium using a vessel made with my hands!

PEACE to all!!! And keep those hands in clay!

Was this just a bowl? or was it a chiminea (spelled wrong). My daughter's
car was broken into and her chiminea was in it and got broken. I have never
thrown anything quite that large, but was wondering if it was possible.
Maybe they are hand-built or pressed in a mold. How did you do it? Connie
