Dear Michael,

To add to the information on warping of bowls, especially those thrown
on the wheel, if you place a sheet of newspaper on top of the wet rim,
(a circle form could be cut previously to add when finished), then the
pot will not distort when removing from the wheel. I throw on masonite
bats which have a slight bend when lifted from the wheel so use this
method which holds the pot in place. I also wax the rim both inside and
outside if that part is finished to retard the drying of that area
before the base.

Hope this idea helps someone.
