Joyce and all -

You may have missed my original posting where I simply asked if any
other potters would be firing their kilns over midnight on New Years Eve. A
local group thought it would be cool to start a kiln in 1999 and end it in
2000.

I asked for people who were doing so to e-mail me so I could send their
names in to the list so we could get a sense of how many would be outside. I
limited my request to people who would be firing in a way that could have
been done at the turn of the last millenium - ie - not electric. I only did
this to limit the amount of work I would have to do in compiling the list -
not for any lofty, artsy thing - just laziness.

Anyhow, unless it rains or snows, I will be out there and I like
thinking that I will not be alone.

Happy New Year - Chris - in Carolina
