This is a preliminary notice of the juried national
ceramics exhibition Ceramics USA 2000. This year's
jurors will be ELLEN SHANKIN and SANDY SIMON.
Deadline for submission of slides will be the first week
of June. The exhibition will be up at the main gallery
of the University of North Texas from October 9 until
November 11. Prospectus will be ready shortly, and
calls for entries should appear in the February Ceramics
Monthly and the next issue of Clay Times. Ceramics USA
is a broad-spectrum exhibition, and includes functional
wares, vessels, and sculptural work. Requirements
are that entrants currently reside in the U.S., and that works
be made mainly from clay. There are size restrictions - works
must fit the shipping requirements of the U. S. Postal service
and UPS.

This will be the fourth Ceramics USA exhibition.
Previous jurors have been Val Cushing, Don Reitz, and
David Shaner & Jack Troy. Coordinators for the exhibition
are Douglas Gray and Dannon Rhudy.

We've been getting several phone calls and emails regarding our upcoming
ceramics exhibition. To save time, I thought I'd post the list directly. The
prospectus for the CERAMICS USA 2000 exhibition is available on line at the
following site...

http://www.fmarion.edu/famc/ceramusa.htm

The entry form is set up as a defined text block so it should print out easily
on one sheet of paper. Currently, our server is being serviced and may be down
for short periods of time. If you don't get through immediately, please try
again later.

I should also add that the June 9 deadline is a receive by date not a post mark
date. We need to get the entries to our juror, Ellen Shankin, before she leaves
for her summer workshops.

Thanks to those who have called, written and emailed for your interest in the
exhibition. If I may be of further assistance, please contact me off the list.

Yes, soon as Doug Gray can get to it. He has some scanning help, so
maybe it won't be too long. - Dannon
