just a small comment.

i have had several posts from people asking me what to do
with their shino, it tends to crater and sometimes crawl.

well, that is the quality of the glaze. that is what shino does.

again, people are looking for a perfect glaze, just from the recipe.
malcom davis shino is the basic idea.

but, if you apply it thick, man, does it crawl.
if you get it on too thin, it just goes deep red and flat.
so, there is a perfect dip.
but, that you will have to find yourself.

some hints:
1. keep the glaze thinner than others in the bucket.
2. you may have to dip twice. (or three times)
3. you may have to blend in with your finger, any places that
look open, or may crawl...just let the pot sit for 20 or so minutes,
then use your finger and smooth out places.
4. the longer they sit on the shelf after glazing, the more
crystals that form.

and on and on and on.
