porcelain clay, unglazed?

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a white stoneware or porcelain clay that looks good
unglazed? I usually fire in oxidation to cone 9 or 10. At this point I
can't even define what I mean by "good" :-) but I want to create white,
unglazed forms.

Thanks!

Hi Susan, I am fairly new to pots, but I have used a lot of Axner
clays.....now use Highwater P5 (porcelain, mid fire, cone 5=6) I love the
white bisque it produces. I fire bisque at 04 and comes out great.
Highwater Clays is in Ashville, NC. and have a great line of clays. They
are near the Penland School in Boone. Hope you can get some to try.

I find Aardvark Coleman Porcelain to be exceptionally beautiful
unglazed, but probably any grolleg or similar porcelain would be just as
nice.
