Ray,

The Florida Potters' Guild is the University of Florida student Ceramics
group. The university has some rule about not letting clubs have
"University of Florida" used in the name, so it became just "The Florida
Potters' Guild". This includes students doing clay sculpture as well.
There just hasn't been a better name proposed yet. The group is
student-run, and you have to be a U.F. Ceramics student to be a member.

The students have a sale Fall and Spring semesters to raise money, and
use the funds to help send students to NCECA, fund visiting artists, and
in general increase education about and awareness of clay as an art
form.

The workshops are open to the public. We like visitors. The potluck
lunch with the visiting artist is a lot of fun. The Potters' Guild asks
for a donation of $20. from non-students who attend.
