Just wanted to confirm what others have said in the past about the
value of including a recipe with a pot, especially a pot whose use is
not necessarily obvious. I made some little brie-bakers
(thanks to Judy Musicant for this idea!) and small oval casseroles,
which I liked very much. They sat on the shelves through 5
previous shows, with only the occasional person even picking them up.
Today, however, I typed up recipes for baked brie, apple crisp, and
artichoke dip, and put one in each dish. They fairly flew off the
shelves. Now, I admit this is not a controlled experiment, since the
buying frenzy might have more to do with the closeness of Christmas
and the nature of this particular crowd, but I'm impressed!
