iron stains

Awhile back I spilled a jar of iron oxide stain all over the front of my
pants. I had read in an article full of household hints that salt will clean
rust out of clothes. You make a paste out of table salt and water and rub it
into the stain. I kept rubbing the salt paste on the stain until it seemed
that I had gotten out as much of it as I could, then through the pants in
with the rest of the laundry. If I look carefully, I can still see a faint
trace of the stain, but for the most part the salt took it out.

Hope this helps!
