I have be asked to ask help for 2 of the glazes our co-op uses.

The first is used oxidation, cone 6 and pits somethimes -
what do we need to do to fix it? Any suggestions?

EMU Glaze (base)
Nepheline syenite 34
EPK 2
Gerstley Borate 16.2
Flint 31.8
Whiting 3.9
Zinc Oxide 6.1
Barium Carbonate 5.9

use colbalt carbonate .25 for light blue
red iron oxide 2.5
rutile 4.0

use colbalt carbonate 4.0 for black
red iron oxide 6.0

Now the next problem glaze is something we are in the process of doing glaze
tests on and there were going well until our last "Dragon" firing (reduction
cone 6, alpine updraft kiln). We we opened things up found that the glaze
dropped/jumped off the outsize of the pots. (what a mess to get off shelves)
Any ideas why or what
could be the problem with it.

BOA Skin
Kona Feldspar 37
Gerstley Borate 16
EPK 15
Dolomite 15
Zinc Oxide 6
Tin Oxide 6
Whiting 3
bentonite 2

Titanium Dioxide 8
Nickel Oxide 2

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.

Pam, in cool Michigan (no snow yet)
