The following is a stoney white mat recipe from Carlton Ball.
Stoney white matt cone l0 (this is a dull mat)
Felspar 47.85
Dolomite 15.75
whiting 2.86
Kaolin 22.06
Talc 8.59
granular ilmenite 2.86
add black stain 1% for grey
I have used this recipe with the addition of cobalt oxide 0.5% which gives
a nice violet blue
