Throwing Tall Pots.

The article which has been mentioned is in Pottery Making Illustrated. =
Volume 1,
No 4. Pp 19-22 Fall 1998. It is possible that back copies are still =
available
but an inquiry to Bill Jones at potterymaking=40acers.org would be a good =
place to
ask if you wish to get a copy.

I may have said this before but it is worth repeating. It is easy to throw a
pound of clay to four inches as a hand wide cylinder. After a bit of =
practice
most students can get two pounds to go eight inches high. Three pounds to =
twelve
inches is a bit of a struggle and four pounds to sixteen inches is almost
impossible, even for someone with a lot of experience.

To Throwers, high and low,

All the best,

Ivor.
