Hi All=21
I have been following a suggestion Mel Jacobson made last winter of
listening to books on tape while throwing. Does make the time fly=21 My
wonderful wife brought home a book called =22The Arcanum.=22 Turns out it's=
a book
only a potter could love (could be called dry in spots) with a fascinating,
exciting history of the European =22discovery=22 of how to make porcelain. =
And you
thought you had trouble figuring out clay formulas and glaze recipes=21 =
There's a
bunch of alchemists, greedy people, industrial espionage involved. =
Definitely
good insight into an important part of our ceramic history=21
This is a Time-Warner book which I borrowed from the local library.
