Hmmm. Thought I was going to get to fight with David over
bat pins/no bat pins, but that was only because I do some
work that needs to be re-centered easily/quickly while still
attached to the bat. I have some old bats that I've re-drilled
a couple of times, they work fine for my purpose, and I don't
get too excited if there is a bit of "give". Since I don't fasten
the bat pins in, just drop them in the holes, only takes an
instant to pull them out if I'm not using them. But mostly I use the
"cleat" method- like David - for larger work. It really does seem to last
forever, is easy to stick to the wheelhead without fuss, always
centered. Only drawback is the extra storage space they
take, but that's not a big deal for a few bats.

I WOULD like to point out, David, that if you have worn through
the color layer on the formica, the bats are NOT as flat as West
Texas. And I can get sink cut-outs FREE.....nyaa nyaa nyaa
