Here is a test for natural design ability
Take a group of non-Asian children or adults, briefly show them a page full
of a hundred or so Chinese characters. Then ask them to write a sentence of
there own made up characters trying to look like the Chinese characters they
just saw....
I think you will find those with the natural ability for design.......
