I've experienced severe Glaze shivering on my last delivery of Laguna's 06
Red DE Clay. Maybe a bad batch, maybe a formula change. We don't know yet,
but a friend has had similar problems. Anyone else??? Please reply to
scott@villagepotter.com so I can relay the full impact of this problem to
Laguna.

Much Thanks,

Hey I had the same problem with them and this clay body, but mine was red
DE with sand.
I used a commercial glaze on it years ago and them I got a new batch from
them. And all sorts of weird things started to happen. Glaze crazing, color
popping off in specks. Formula change, I would call it that.

DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH THIS, THEY WILL TRY TO TELL YOU, IT IS NOT THEM
BUT YOU. Something you are doing, they tried this tact with me and now I
have my own clay body I have mixed privatly. If you have exacting standards,
then maybe you should have this done. Laguna I think cuts corners on cost.
Ultimatly I think the small potter is not one of their big concerns,
especaily when they are suppling dealers with clay and schools.
I would look into finding someone who can mix the clay for you.
Keep on laguna and do not give up. Put the pressure on them. ultimatly it
helps us all.
