Hello fellow clayarters,

In October I will be taking some of my students to Beijing to take part in
a Ceramics workshop at the Central Academy of Arts and Design. As part of
this workshop I will be giving a slide lecture, with Kathy Holt of
Arapahoe Community College, on American Ceramics. We have two hours and
will show at least one hour of historical to contemporary.

One idea is to talk about CLAYART and to show slides by North American
CLAYART members. The focus of this workshop is functional ware. If there
is enough interest, I would like to show slides of functional ware and
vessels from slides that members donate. Those slides would be left in
China, with full information on each potter.

I am asking CLAYART members to donate slides for this as a way of
representing the studio movement in North America. If you would like to
donate, please send your slide with your name on the slide, type of clay,
firing, including temp/atmosphere, size, and any other information that
you think important. Also include a business card or any other
information that you wish.

I will need to recieve the slides by October 15th.

I hope that you think this a good idea.
Thanks in Advance,
