Hi:

By "end point cone", I just meant the cone that you fire to in order to get
the desired results in both clay and glaze. The clay is at the optimal
vitrification point and your glazes look and function as you would want
them to.

With regard to "problematical", as long as everything is coming out well
visually and technically I don't think I'd worry. We all have to keep
tabs on our ware though and do testing periodically to determine that "all
is well".
