needles for stain application

regular sized insulin needles filled with stain
or undeglaze apply an even, thin line of colorant.

It takes a bit of practice to release the syringe
at an even rate and not jab the clay...

The microfine do not let the color out well.

And Monona, are you listening?

All safety rules apply and for god's sake, keep
these away from children, idiots, and the careless.

I have found that if you add the following to the solution for going
thru a hypodermic needle, it flows better.
Glycol 1000
Water 100
CMC water 500
Mix this solution and then add a few drops to your slip.

I have made an applicator using the needle and putting it into an ear
syringe see CM May 1997 article.
