I was lucky enough to take this workshop last January and had a blast. The
triple combination of the ancient city of Qaxaca, the friendly Zapoteck
master potters of San Marcos and Eric's hospitality was unbeatable. All my
fears from Montazuma's revenge to banditos were quickly put to rest under
Eric's reassuring tutelage and I am an octagenerian that hardly knows 3 words
of Spanish. Also great eats.

I did the village tour at the end of January and also had a blast - I'm
going back for the San Marcos Workshop next January. Eric puts on a high
quality tour, comfortable, safe and fascinating. In addition to taking you
to meet the potters, in villages both close to Oaxaca and way the H... and
gone in places you'd never find yourself, he includes the best museums and
historical sites. The Indian villagers obviously like and trust him, and
because you are with him you get the same warm welcome that he gets. And
the eats are great!!! In several of the villages, too remote to even think
the word restaurant, people in the village cooked lunch for us and it was
fantastic. Twice we had moles better than anything available in Los
Angeles (where we have a lot of Mexican restaurants) better even than the
really fine restaurants Eric took us to in Oaxaca.
