We have a few spaces left for the Peter King In Washington State -
=22Architectural Ceramics=22 workshop on Sat. =26 Sun - August 14 =26 15.

The workshop will be held at =22Architektura=22 in Yelm, WA. Yelm is about
45 min. south of Tacoma, WA. If you are considering attending, you may
want to register soon, as the workshop is almost full.

This is the second summer Peter King has offered this workshop in WA
State. (You usually have to travel to Florida to attend his
workshops.) Peter is considered to be a leader in studio architectural
ceramics and one of the first to develop this field. His new book,
=93Architectural Ceramics=94 will be published this Fall.

Join Peter and his wife Xinia Marin for this two day workshop. The
workshop is PACKED FULL of Peter=92s large scale construction techniques,
discussion, new slide show, and info that will catapult your thinking,
confidence and work to a new level. We will build a large scale
architectural piece to demo Peter's unique construction methods.
Peter's handbuilding techniques can be applied to any size work.

Peter=92s wife, Xinia Marin, is a professor of ceramics at the University
of Costa Rica in San Jose, CR.

Peter has been featured on television shows plus his Architectural
Ceramic articles have appeared in numerous periodicals. Examples of his
work can be seen in Handmade Tiles by Frank Giogioni.

This workshop is for anyone with an interest in clay, all levels will
benefit and are welcomed.

Don=92t miss this opportunity to experience Peter King.

Hi all from Nottingham in So. California.

Peter has been here for just two days and it feels like a weeks worth of
information.
This guy is a powerhouse !!

We are building a large fireplace surround/sculpture for a local commision
and an eight foot high doorway arch for the main studio. Already made and
gone through 1000 lbs. of clay and have Ardvark sending Steve down with 1000
lbs of dry clay tonight to keep us going until the regular truck arrives on
thursday.

I figure we will start another huge free standing gate along with lots of
smaller stuff. Probably go through another ton and a half of clay before the
week is out.

It's to late to come to Nottingham for the workshop but you've got time to
sign up for the Washington two day one. Believe me; you will think it was 4
days if you go and I heartily recomend it. You won't be disapointed.
