You can take inexpensive ceramic classes at the Barnsdall Art Center, 4800
Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, phone 213-485-2116. The center is on the same
site as the Hollyhock House by Frank Lloyd Wright. It's small but good.

What is the Long Beach Island Foundation - they were looking for used kiln
shelves. Is it in Long Beach, California?

Beverly:

I had to come out of lurking to answer your question regarding the Long Beach
Island Foundation. I believe it may be in New Jersey. There is a Long Beach
Island in southern NJ about 40 miles north of Atlantic City. (My grandparents
live there.) I grew up in So. Cal and lived in Long Beach for a while and I
don't remember hearing of anything foundation called that. Not sure if it is
the place in NJ or not, but it sounds like it. Hope this helps.
