Dear Jon,
I have fired with venturi burners for 20+ years. I will be in the DC
area in Oct. doubt if that is soon enough for you. The kiln doesn't
sound too huge so go easy on the bag walls. Try to channel the draft to
force it across and up to be sucked down to the flu. Just use your head
about direct flames on the ware. I had an old California kiln sounds
similar to this. The bag walls were made of thin kiln shelves about 5
inches from the wall. The first shelves were on half bricks above the
level of the flu. Hope this helps.
