.... Today I am writing to ask help from fellow clayarters in planning a =
study
trip for students....
It looks like I may have an opportunity to take a group of BYU students to
China, Korea and Thailand over 7 weeks next spring.(May-June)
. The trip is in the planning stages and will also involve my departmental
colleague Donna Kay Beattie, who is very well informed and has visited these
countries several times but whose interest is primarily in visiting =
schools
and some museums .
I am interested in hearing about institutions and areas which may be of
special interest to ceramic students and sculptors as well as any other =
sites
or events which you feel are not to be missed ...this could include musical =
and
religious events, regional festivals, gardens, bridges., buildings and =
temples
etc...... .. I have got a lead already on a mango farm and a silk =
factory.=21=21.
anything that might feed an artitsts soul ,...
Also, any travel tips, warnings and insights from those of you who might =
have
taken a large group of students on a similar journey..=21=21
Thanks so much..I appreciate any suggestions.. my address is
