Hi Clayarters -- especially you raku-firers or low-firers,

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Perry from Clay Art in Tacoma WA
through the list -- he emailed me out of the "blue" -- and thought I should
pass on this info.
He is a glaze tech and is developing some FANTASTIC glazes which are sold
through Clay Art. If anyone is in mourning for the old "Rocket Red", guess
what? Perry has come close with his "raku red essence". An unbelievably
easy to use red which can be rakued or used in ox.^06 and is gorgeous. He's
just made my life a lot easier.
Clay Art also carries many ingredients which have been discussed on the list,
like sodium silicate, sulfates, a great supply of frits, etc.
My understanding is that they will be putting up a website soon -- until then
they have an 800 # -- 1-800-952-8030.
Check 'em out!
