Dear Clayarters.
I'm a little slow getting this out due to a broken ankle. In mid May mel
jacobson gave a workshop at DeAnza College, Cupertino, Ca (SF bay area).
It was cosponsored by Assoc of Clay and Glass Artists and DeAnza
College. It was a great workshop where mel shared his throwing
techniques, told his wonderful stories and had a nice exhibit of his
finished pieces. There was a thread on clayart a couple of weeks ago on
how to center and another on throwing big pots and mel demonstrates
both. Each with its own easy to do technique. If you missed this
workshop, mel and Dannon Rhudy will be doing a week long intensive
throwing in southern Calif June 28th-July 2nd at Nottingham Center for
