Hi, Lisa.

I'm sorry to say that you missed the show by two weeks - it closed June
6. I went down to New York about a month ago and there's two shows I can
recommend. One is "Bamboo Masterworks - Japanese baskets from the Lloyd
Cotsen Collection". It was at the Asia Society. I'm not sure if it's
still there but you can easily find out if you visit their website
. They also had an exhibit of pots from their
collection. If you're into fibers the American Craft Museum has a
wonderful quilt show called "Spirits of the Cloth - Contemporary Quilts
by African American Artists". They also had two other shows - one was a
mixed media show by African American artists (included some clay work)
and a clay show in the basement level that looked like
industry-produced (historical) work. Sorry I'm kind of sketchy about
the last but I had a train to catch so only got a quick peek. I hope you
have as great a day as I did.

Regards,Alice Chittenden

P.S. I'm thinking I might go to Springfield to see the ACC show- any
Clayarters exhibiting?
