Dear Clayartists,

Just wanted to send my warm and appreciative feelings out to the group...what
a wonderful and generous resource for ideas, information and support. I am
glad that you're there and happy to be part of this lively community.

Now to conclude the Frog Pin thread, I finally have, thanks to Marcia Muskin
and Sara Gilstrap, two sources for the elusive Frog Pin Cups. I post them
together in case anyone missed them (I have had quite a few private email
requests to pass along the information if I find resources).

1.

I called and inquired, and yes they have them in a variety of sizes from
1-1/2" up to about 5". They are pricey, e.g., $5.10 for the 1-1/2" size,
however, the person I spoke to, Helga, said they had heavy lead bases with
brass pins strong enough to hold up stone slabs (e.g, slate) that have had a
hole drilled through it (the cups are glued on underneath and support the
slab). Slate slabs, or any stone or wood, would make the perfect setting for
an earthy, sensuous Ikebana container. The frog pin cups are black but can
be spray painted other colors using something like Rustoleum.

Ray, the owner sells a much wider range of frog pin sizes and will sell them
with the attached cups or will sell the pins and the cups separately. He
will send a no frills catalog at your request. I just ordered a DOZEN of the
frog pins with attached cups in the 1-1/4" size for $25.20.

Again, muchas gracias to Marcia Menuskin and Sara Gilstrap for helping me to
finally find a source for these little gems when hours of web searching
through bunches of search engines came up with nada.
