Clayartists:
In getting ready for summer camp & my pottery classes.
I am looking for a 06 clear gloss glaze recipie so I can dip kids' projects
as opposed to brushing on a clear glaze. My current resource of glaze
recipes is Chappell's book.

Does anyone have any other recipes for a 06 clear gloss glaze?
What does anyone think of the following:
eg-85 clear glaze cone 06
25.8 colmenite
41.6 pemco frit # 25
32.6 kaolin
1 tsp. c.m.c.
This glaze did not fire clear, but matt and white ! Was there too much
kaolin? fired too low ? or????

This is another clear glaze that also fired matt and white...what probably
caused it?

Clear V11 cone 06 clear glaze
gerts borate 1/2 cup and 1/3 cup
frit 25 1 cup + 1T
china clay 1 1/2 cup + 1T

What would anyone think of this recipe ?
eg-88 clear glaze cone 06
1.3 silica
15.0 spodumene
83.7 ferro frit #3134
1.0 bentonite
1 tsp c.m.c.

Here is one from recent workshop. It is a cone 04 but good over colored
slips and underglazes

Gerstley Borate 55
EPK 30
Flint(Silica) 15
Bentonite 2
CMC a little

at practically the same moment.
