Hi all+ACE-
I just thought that I would throw this out for some consideration. We
installed a large oval kiln this winter, along with a suplemental
transformer to power it. It fired fine up untill a couple of weeks ago when
the firing time went through the roof+ACE-
It seems that when the calc. was done for the elect. usage the large A/C
unit was not taken into account, and as the use of the A/C went up the
demand on the power supply went up reducing the voltage to the kiln.
A service call from an electrician boosted the output from the sup.
transformer and the kiln fires off in a reasonable time again (thank God+ACE-).
This just shows that small details overlooked can have large consequences+ACE-
