another cone 10 question.

Hi Everyone:
I don't know much about potting yet, except that I am having fun trying
:-), and I am new to ClayArt.
My problem (amongst the many), is trying to find underglaze colours.
I use "smooth stone" colour clay, and my friend fires it at cone 10.
Is there such a thing as a "red" of some kind - any kind. Blue roses just
don't look right.
Any help would be appreciated.

OH-- the elusive red!I have gotten a very nice metallic red with a copper
slip and celadon over-glaze--this is in reduction.Another copper slip
yielded a burgandy red. These are the easiest and might work for your roses!
Good Luck!

This is not a gas fired kiln. Sorry - I should have mentioned that in my
message. Being the newbie that I am here, I can't help but wonder what the
results would be from an electric kiln ? ......or are we looking at the
dreaded black rose again ?
