why not cone 8? why not 08 or lower ?

Lets try 08 , for vitreous functional wares .
Clay bodies in white to deep red or brown .
Clear , Matte , Ash , Reduction , Butter ,
Iron, Majolica etc. for Glazes . [ non - toxic ]
Tea pots , cups , plates , and so on .
You can go down to 750 deg. c if need be .
