Hi, Don Prey - I have never done anything with either soda or salt, but did
see a kiln that had been used for salt, and the bricks were atrocious!
Mostly disintegrating at a great rate. Will the process you describe (soda
ash and ball clay) do terrible things to my kiln bricks? I only fire to ^6,
would like to try this process, at least once, to see the results, but don't
wish to risk damaging my kilns. Can I do this?
