Hi,
I finally got the crawling and pinholes licked. Not sure which effort
cured what but after 2 bad glaze firings it's nice to open the kiln to
some of the good stuff. I fired a little lower probably ^51/2 the 6 was
just starting to bend and the 5 had gone over half way. I also
programmed
the controller to drop to 1900 then climb back to 2050. I was a little
worried
about over firing and next time I may try it back up a tad higher. The
blackberry
stain never really came out I ended up mixing all the batches of it
togeather
and adding some bentonite. It did'nt crawl but I was just disposing of
it. I also
finally used some stain in some body for the marbelized effect. I'm very
happy
with that result. (it's what I originally got the stain for). Here's my
base that
worked for me in case.

I added 5% of mason stain #6378 zirconium vanadium blue. The color is
nice
and I got a good melt. I could have probably put it on a little thicker,
but I was
a scared. Thanks for all the help.
